The Saint John Waterfront Development Partnership

Welcome

Saint John’s Waterfront and Inner Harbour, where the mighty St. John River meets the Bay of Fundy, have contributed significantly to the city’s heritage. The waterfront is as integral to the city’s future as it was to its past.  The Inner Harbour, an area of cultural, historic, natural and economic resources, presents development opportunities that capitalize on existing assets and will chart a new course for the city.

The waterfront and uptown area is a vibrant place of commerce, public access and green space. Citizens are moving into the uptown core.  There is momentum in the city, embraced and supported by both public and private sectors.

As detailed in the City’s Community Growth Strategy, the community, business and government have deemed Waterfront development a priority.  Strategic cooperative investment in planned infrastructure has made the Waterfront and Inner Harbour a catalyst for growth.

Help us shape Reversing Falls into a world class tourism destination!

Development Services - Reversing Falls & Lower River Passage

The City of Saint John, Saint John Waterfront Development, and tourism and business partners are working to develop Reversing Falls into a destination that will attract and showcase this phenomena and our City to the world.  Input will help shape the future of the Reversing Falls & Lower River Passage.  We welcome the public's input and community support with respect to this important waterfront development project!  For more information please contact us at info@sjwaterfront.com.

Continuing toward the goal of developing Reversing Falls into a destination that will attract and showcase this phenomena and the City to the world, the City of Saint John, Saint John Waterfront Development and tourism and business partners hosted a Reversing Falls design charrette on June 17 & 18.  The charrette was a two-day design workshop where project designers worked directly with the public to form a creative vision for the area and to obtain a sense of values and priorities.  The charette results will form a basis for an interpretative plan and provide a series of schematic models of how the sites could be developed.
