Waterfront Projects

Waterfront Projects

Public projects on the waterfront are making a significant difference to the landscape of the Inner Harbour, the downtown and the attitudes of the people in Saint John. Creating world-class public spaces along Saint John's waterfront are a key component of the Waterfront Development Plan. Public projects such as those listed below spur new construction in the area which will, in turn, increase both the tax base and the population base.

The beautification and restoration of Saint John's historic waterfront is going a long way to create a fundamental change in Saint John's image. Current efforts are concentrated on the following waterfront projects:

Harbour Passage

Lantic Sugar
Marco Polo Project
Partridge Island
Small Craft Marine Facilities
Water Street
Arts, Culture & Heritage
Fort LaTour
Skateboard Park

Current Private Sector Projects

The majority of these projects are managed by a volunteer Working Group formed by the Partnership and consisting of local citizens and stakeholders who are passionate about the rejuvenation and renewal of our city and our waterfront.
