Lookout

Common council awarded a contract during Monday's meeting that will see Harbour Passage stretch to the Reversing Falls. A long hoped-for lookout, to be built on the former bridge abutments on the river's eastern bank, will be constructed by Fairville Construction at a cost of $695,000. It will include an access ramp and stairs, connecting walkways, lighting, landscaping, and interpretation panels. The work is expected to begin this year.
